Thank you!

First of all I want to thank each and every one of you who has stopped to talk to me about things you have read. I really enjoy sharing my passions with you. I am always looking for new ideas. Thanks!

Do you like Siri? Tips in Technology

I have had a fun month teaching some of my patients about the wonders of SIRI (IPhone, IPad and IPod). For example, you can ask Siri to tell you a joke and see what she says. Also, you can say, “Siri, schedule an appointment tomorrow at 2:00 with Parker Audiology,” and you will see this appointment pop up on your calendar. It is really neat. Android smartphones have Google Voice Technology that operates the same way. Also, you can say, “Call Parker Audiology in Davenport,” and our phone number will pop up to call. No more searching!

Telephones and Hearing Aid Technology

In the world of hearing aids, there are some neat things that are available now. For example, it is possible for your audiologist to reset your hearing aid settings by entering some codes into the telephone. This allows snowbirds to travel south without fear of being away from their audiologist.

TV Technology:

Have you considered wireless headphones for your hearing impaired family member? If he/she uses hearing aids, please consult with your audiologist to see if there is a better option. There are so many options that it would be helpful to consider your needs and budget.

Dr. Elizabeth Meinecke and Dr. Molly Parker are currently accepting new patients at Parker Audiology, P.C. Call for an appointment at (563) 326-5441.
