A Newcomer to the Hilltop Campus Village
A newcomer to the Hilltop Campus Village area is D’Allen Salon Suites. They are located at 1329 Harrison St. Davenport, Iowa. That is the south east corner of 14th and Harrison. There is ample parking for the salon.
D’Allen Salon Suites opened their doors in the fall of 2014. They were attracted to the Hilltop Campus Village because of the growth that they saw in the area. They remembered how, at one time, the area had been a thriving, busy place. Then it started to deteriorate, and parts of it became abandoned. But through the efforts of the Hilltop Business Association, Hilltop Campus Village and Mainstreet Iowa, it was becoming a vibrant community again. The businesses were not only serving the immediate area and the city of Davenport, but all of the QCA.
D’Allen Salon Suites provides an upscale environment that has taken booth rental to the next level, but without the upscale price. More specifically, it is a collection of mini-salons all under one roof.
D’Allen Salon Suites is the latest concept in booth rental salons. Each booth, which is really a private room area, has its own licensed beauty
professional. Each operator has the freedom and flexibility of their own private studio. It is designed for the independent professional to be able to own their own business, providing a more personalized service for their clients.
Three of the suites have been filled, each with a hairstylist with their own unique style. They can cut, style, color, do extensions, weaves, and give advice on wigs and hair pieces. Each stylist works by appointment, but will accept walk-ins.

D’Allen Salon Suites is looking to round out the available suites left with a manicurist, pedicurist, esthetician, or barber.
Still under the same roof is Bass Blessed Boutique. This is an upscale clothing establishment for ladies, gentlemen and children. Barbara Bass is the proprietor. Her shop has many outfits just right for Mother’s Day. No longer do you need to drive to Chicago to get that special dress, suit or separate ensemble. They are right here in the Hilltop Campus Village. She also has a wide variety of men’s hats and accessories, and soon will have men’s suits. You must stop in and see what Barbara has to offer.
