Hilltop Campus Village Fall Music Festival – Saturday, September 19, 2015

Everyone is invited to the 6th Annual Hilltop Campus Village Fall Music Festival, to be held at the Hilltop Plaza Park, 15th and Harrison Streets in Davenport – across from the Harrison Loft Apartments.

This free community event provides live music, food vendors and beverages. The aim is to provide fun for all, while raising awareness of the revitalization taking place in the Hilltop Campus Village Main Street Iowa district. This year’s Festival will be held from noon to 9 p.m.

The Music Festival offers fantastic stage entertainment with multiple styles of music, beginning at noon with a variety of local acts and bands. The Funktastic 5 will be the headliner act, offering their well-known polished and professional sound from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Hilltop Plaza Park offers a great view of the bustling Harrison Corridor and a true perspective of the transformation that is taking place. From the beverage purveyors (Stickman’s, McButt’s and the Harrison Street Pub) to the Backlist Comedy Club and the Dark Horse Inn performing concert venue, the Hilltop is alive with excitement.

The Music Festival also celebrates the many accomplishments that are taking place in the Hilltop Campus Village. These include the:

Grand opening of the Ascentra Credit Union at Brady and Locust; St. Ambrose University’s new Welcome and Administrative Center at Harrison and Locust; New and expanded businesses along the Harrison and Brady Street corridors; Redevelopment projects to be underway at 1605 Harrison, 1304 Brady and 617 Brady Street; New Auditorium and Natatorium at Davenport Central High School, and Hilltop Campus Village’s sale and upcoming restoration of the historic single-family residence at 1028 Harrison Street (a much-appreciated donation from Wells Fargo Bank).
