MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Support Group to meet in Iowa – Becky Pilcher will facilitate a MS Support Group. The group meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the Davenport Fairmount Street Library from 6-8pm.  This is a support group for people and family members dealing with MS (multiple sclerosis). Prostate Cancer: Us, Too, Greater Quad City Cancer Support Group – Support Group for those dealing with Prostate Cancer or who had prostate cancer. Christian Care provides a confidential support group to serve and include those who have contemplated or attempted suicide or those coping with the loss of friend or family member due to suicide. Parkinson’s Support Group – Third Sat. each month, 10 a.m -noon, The September 19 meeting will be at CASI, 1035 W. Kimberly Rd., Davenport, IA 52806. The speaker will be Dr. Pamela Wong.  Dr. Wong will be speaking on Parkinson’s drugs, what they are intended to do, and possible interactions.  The public is welcome and parking is free. The October 17 meeting will be at Ridgecrest Village, (* NOTE location change) 4130 Northwest Blvd., Davenport, IA 52806. Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT – also known as Triad) meets monthly at 9:30-11 a.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month at CASI 1035 W. Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA. Representatives from Scott County, Davenport and Bettendorf law enforcement agencies, and other senior advocates meet to discuss; scams in the area, how to be a savvy senior, identity theft and other issues. Save the date! 37th Annual Beta Sigma Phi Craft Show, Sat., Oct. 17, 2015 at Galva High School 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. Largest one day craft show featuring over 90 booths. There will be a wide variety of quality crafted items. There will be apples, pumpkins, kettle corn, and mums. There is a $2.00 admission charge. No strollers or pets allowed inside. Proceeds will be used for community projects.
