Big Blockfest in the Hilltop Campus Village August 12th to August 14th

Third Missionary Baptist Church is gearing up for its annual summertime blockfest held Friday, August 12 through Sunday August 14.

Third Missionary Baptist Church is a worship place for everyone, young or old, rich or poor, broken or whole, from any nationality or religious background; a family welcoming all who are precious to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Friday evening

Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. will be the Fish Fry with other concession items and the Outdoor Gospel Concert. This event will be the kick off to the Evangelistic Gospel Explosion Weekend. The location is 222 West 14th Street (corner of 14th and Main) in Davenport, Iowa.

Saturday

Saturday morning, the day starts at 9 a.m. with team reports. Then the fun begins with basketball and all of the hoopla of a block party. Teams of 5 on 5 for adults and 3 on 3 for youth will go to the hoops for a fun morning of basketball. Also all along 14th street from Harrison to Main there will be vendors, bounce houses and games for the kids. The food booths have everything from chips and snacks to hotdogs, from watermelon and corn on the cob to complete chicken dinners.

Sunday morning

Sunday morning will be a special OUTDOOR Worship Service at 8 a.m. and the regular worship service at 10:45 a.m.. Third Missionary Baptist Church is striving to be a church in the inner city of Davenport, where people can grow in their relationship with Christ and the family of God through worship, education, disciple-ship, and outreach.

So make the Hilltop Campus Village a destination stop on this weekend and enjoy all of the hoopla.
