Hilltop Campus Village Welcomes a New House of Worship

Welcome to St. Athanasius Orthodox Church. This house of faith joins the others in our community which include denominations of Lutheran, Episcopal, Methodist, Baptist, Missionary Baptist, Bethel AME and Catholic to name a few. Hilltop Campus Village is thankful for its faith-based friends.

St. Athanasius Orthodox is located at 228 West 15th Street in Davenport. This is located directly north of the Hilltop Plaza Park. Check out their facebook page.

Now that you have noticed a few of the faith-based organizations in the area, Let’s do a refresher course about the Hilltop Campus Village, a Main Street Iowa designation.

Geographically: The southern border is 5th Street, Perry on the east, Ripley on the west and up to Lombard on the north. At Locust, the western border extends to Gaines to be able to include St. Ambrose University.

Eateries: There are many fine coffee shops and eateries to grab a bite to eat or dine-in at a leisurely pace. Starting with Los Compadres and Lendi’s Gyros on the south end all the way to Java Station and Village Inn on the north. And in between, there is a wdie selection to choose from.

Grocery stores/convenience shops and pharmacies: There are at least three grocery stores, three convenience shops and two pharmacies from which to pick up any household or food item you might need.

Services: This runs the gamut from car repair to legal aid, laundromat to insurance, medical and dental to massage and holistic therapy, hair stylists and barbers and body ink. The Hilltop Campus Village has it all.

Other retail stores: Wig and hat boutiques, new furniture and home decor, resale of used furniture or rehab furniture and houeshold items, clothing and accessories.

Education: Elementary and High School, St. Ambrose University and Palmer College of Chiropractic.
