Oftentimes people travel hundreds of miles for treatment which could be managed locally with a high level of expertise. Patients are often frustrated when they need to travel out of the community for after care when they have had services at a distant hospital. They do not always consider getting into a car for a long trip when they feel sick or have a new incision.
