The Impact of our Values on Your Care

Information from Friendship Manor

Friendship Manor, which was founded in 1979, is the only faith-based, charitable Continuing Care Retirement Community in the Illinois Quad Cities. We are non-denominational in nature and welcome people of all faiths. Our door is always open, so come find the amenities and services to make your retirement years carefree and fun while also providing you the specialized care you need.

A full continuum of care is available to align with your health needs. Friendship Manor offers senior villas, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and in-house rehabilitation if you need it. New Friendships Memory Care, where residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia receive specialized care in an environment designed specifically for their challenges, helps many couples remain living together when one needs memory care. There is no buy-in or endowment fee on our villas and apartments. Residents pay a monthly rent.

Once you move to Friendship Manor, you have a home for life. Our Life Care Guarantee ensures a home for you even if you exhaust your personal assets. The fear of running out of money is gone with our guarantee, meaning you can move to Friendship Manor sooner and start enjoying your retirement. In 2017 alone, we provided over 8,000 days of financially subsidized care to those who outlived their personal assets. As a nonprofit, we feel compelled to honor our residents and let them know we will never ask them to leave based on their inability to pay. This is our life care promise!

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) we are thoughtful stewards of our gifts, assets and resources. We humbly and gratefully appreciate gifts that help us change lives with the aim of enhancing the vitality and vibrancy of life for our senior residents. A nonprofit doesn’t help those it serves by itself; it does so as an extension of the compassion of its patrons. Every cent given to the Manor is effectively used to provide charitable or unreimbursed care. Not a single cent donated is sent to a national or international office.

We are overseen by an all-volunteer board of trustees. The board is comprised of talented and diverse individuals from our local community with widely varied backgrounds. We are
grateful for the time and passion each of our board members invests in the well-being of Friendship Manor, our residents and the communities we serve. Residents have the opportunity to serve on a committee and make a difference at Friendship Manor. We place value in stewardship, so offering those opportunities to our residents continues to promote personal growth in our united community environment.

Considering Friendship Manor for yourself or a loved one? Join us for a private Taste and Tour. Ask questions and see everything our community has to offer. Small family groups
can be easily accommodated. Call to make your reservation at (309) 786-9667.
