Ask the Audiologist

I’m having trouble hearing and think I might need hearing aids but I’m not sure if I’m ready to take that leap. How can I learn more about hearing aids without making a commitment?

Purchasing hearing aids and wearing them consistently is a big commitment. With all the advertisements for different style and technology options, selecting the type of hearing aid that is best for you may seem like a daunting task. Though audiologists and hearing instrument specialists are trained to help you select and utilize an appropriate hearing aid, it is ultimately up to you to put it in and wear it every day. Therefore, you are the biggest part of the hearing aid selection process.

The audiologists at Audiology Consultants, P.C., work to find the best option for each individual patient. They take the time to consider the patient’s degree of hearing loss, cosmetic preferences, physical ability, and available finances. Additionally, Audiology Consultants, P.C., now offers complimentary classes for those individuals interested in exploring their options.

In our Sound Advice: Coping With Hearing Loss classes, we will discuss some of the difficulties you face as a result of your hearing loss, explore some of the specific sounds you may be missing, and describe how hearing aids and assistive listening devices can help. Offered on December 5th and 12th at 11:00 a.m., these classes are designed for those just thinking about their options, as well as new hearing aid users looking for more support.

For more information about our classes, see our ad on page 9 with dates and times. Please call today to RSVP!
