Quad Cities Alzheimer’s Association – Virtual support groups and programs are being offered. For assistance call (563) 293-8058 or the 24/7 helpline at (800) 272-3900.

QC Breast Cancer Support Group (Iowa and Illinois) Meetings are cancelled at this time, but if you need someone to talk to you can call Pat Conway at (563) 355-7548

Genesis Aphasia Support Group If you need support or someone to talk to, call Speech Therapist Rebecca Rall at (563) 421-3495

Grief Support Group sponsored by CASI – meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Currently, this group meets at 9:30 am at the Family Restaurant, 902 W. Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA. This is a FREE community service program; however participants are required to sign-up in advance by calling (563) 386-7477 ext 227 and leaving a message for Vicky Ertel. Participants are responsible for their own food and beverage costs.

Lewy Body Dementia Support Group – meets third Tuesday of the month at 6:30p.m. Meetings are currently being held at the Fountains Clubhouse, 3726 Thunder Ridge Road, Bettendorf, IA. The person at the desk will direct you to the meeting room. Museum Exhibits

Putnam Museum presents “The Colors of Culture” now through late 2021. Figge Museum presents “Jane Gilmor: Breakfast on Pluto” October 9, 2021 – February 6, 2022. Display features sculptures created by Jane using repurposed past work and found materials from her studio. Activated with motion and light, the installation with encourage the visitors to contemplate the interplay between light and dark. “Robert Blackburn & Modern American Printing” October 9, 2021 – January 9, 2022. This exhibit celebrates a key artist in the printmaking in the twentieth century. The exhibits include woodcuts, lithographs and watercolors. “Day of the Dead” now through November 14, 2021. This explores how we celebrate and remember the lives of our loved ones. “Carlos Diniz, Master of Architectural Illusion” November 20, 2021 – March 20, 2022 features charcoal renderings of many architectural designs. This was before computer aided and virtual renderings were possible. “Jim Dine and Lee Friedlander: Work from the Same House” now through November 14, 2021. Friends since early 1960s, photographer Lee and painter Jim have worked together.The museum is located at 225 W 2nd Street, Davenport, IA. Bucktown Revue is now live with more Americana music from the Heartland, featuring bluegrass, Irish folk and Americana roots music. Other Activities

Veterans’ Breakfast held at CASI is Mon., Nov. 8, 8-10 A M. The breakfast sponsored by Arconic is free to Quad Cities Veterans, Active Duty Military and ROTC members in recognition of your service and sacrifice. Tickets for non-military attendees are $7.00.
