The Genesis Support Group brings together stroke survivors and their families in an atmosphere of caring and sharing to assist recovery. DAGOBAH is a volunteer-led group that meets on the second Monday of each month, at 6:00 p.m., at the Main Library. It tackles topics such as: movies, comics, and (of course!) books. The group has been thriving for 25 years, and would love to welcome new members.

“Listen To Me Read” CASI’s “Listen To Me Read” intergenerational literacy program began in 1991. Today the program is in 23 schools in Scott County. This year the program was a recipient of an award fro, the Bi-State Literacy Council . Anyone interested in joining the rewarding experience please call Joy Andrews, CASI “Listen To Me Read” coordinator to enroll for the 2010- 2011 school year. Go to the school of your choice for one hour per week and help a kindergartener, 1st grader or 2nd grader with their reading skills. Our motto is “You can do it!” This applies to both and students and the volunteers.
