Happy New Year from Bettendorf Health Care!!

This is our first month to be a part of the NEW “50” PLUS magazine. I’ll give you a bit of history about BHCC and where we are located. For over 37 years, we have been situated in North Bettendorf. Built by a private owner initially, in the midst of a corn field, he sold the property not too many years after the start up.

The surrounding land was re-zoned into residential, and we became surrounded by beautiful homes here in North Bettendorf. We enjoy a beautiful setting on roughly eight acres of beautiful green space.

I have had the privilege of being the administrator here for nearly 13 years. We enjoy a tremendous staff who truly show compassion and true caring for the
residents who come to our facility.

Over the past few years, the home has survived many changes and now is basically a Rehab Center. We do a great deal of short-term stays following fractured hips, new knees, wound case, shoulders, cardiac rehab and other short-term illnesses. If the need is there, of course, long-term stays are possible for the intermediate and/or skilled patient. We also do short-term Respite stays.

In the months to come, we will be highlighting each of the departments that make Bettendorf unique and “your home away from home” when necessary.

We serve private pay, Medicare and Medicaid patients. Having a wide range of accommodations, we range from double rooms to private and recently added beautifully decorated private suites.
