Charity Launches Free Heart Surgery For American Children

By Pam Brammann, R.N.
President and Managing Director of MedTour Services, LLC

An internationally known heart doctor in India, philanthropist and cardiac surgeon, has joined forces with MedTour Services, LLC to help American families who are unable to afford surgery in America, yet their child does not qualify for Medicaid. Dr. Shetty of India and his team of highly trained cardiovascular surgeons are offering heart surgery for up to 10 American children at no cost. Families will be responsible for travel costs and follow up care in America.

While the United States has quality health care, it’s also the most expensive in the world. Many countries around the world offer superior quality health care, in highly accredited hospitals, often by doctors trained in the U.S., at a fraction of the cost found in America.
