QC Breast Cancer Support Group (Iowa): First Tuesday of each month, 7-9 pm downstairs Trinity at Terrace Park, 4500 Utica Ridge Road, Bettendorf. Diabetes Support Group at Genesis: First Tuesday of each month, 11 am to Noon, Larson Center, Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL Recommended for people with diabetes who are interested in receiving help with diabetes self-management. Cost: free. Registration: (309) 792-4389

CASI Art Classes – Call (563) 386 7477 Art Class with Betty Felder Beginning Donna Dewberry One-Stroke Painting Mondays, 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. This is a six week continuity class consisting of learning to load brushes and strokes for roses, daisies, lilacs, hydrangeas, pansies, and wild flowers along with assorted leaves.

Monarch Tagging Workshop September 8 at University of Illinois Extension – Learn about the 3,000 mile migration of the Monarch Butterfly. Get a hands on experience tagging and releasing Monarch butterflies. Learn how to help and protect and conserve these fascinating and beautiful animals. Learn about “Growing Organic” September 8, at 7 pm, University of Illinois Extension, Milan, IL
“Growing Organic: Practices and Procedures” University of Illinois Master Gardener, Rich Tobiasz who recently completed his MS work at University of Illinois will offer a program on . Organic gardening is currently a hot topic and these presentations will help to answer questions on numerous aspects of gardening organically. Rich will offer lots of insights on this topic and well as recommendations on sound organic practices. The presentation will be done live via the Elluminate course delivery system which allows participants to see and hear the instructor via a web-based classroom in real time.
