THE PUBLISHER’S VIEW Inner Thoughts and Comments

Well, the ice is broken, so now we’ll see if I can swim in the world of words. There are so many subjects that are of interest to seniors or their care takers. There will be a column on the subject of “Were you a Victim or a Patient?” Many people have shared about their experiences in a hospital or nursing home. Many children have told me about their parents’ experiences. Many were good experiences, and some were not so good. There will be different columns every month on issues that could affect us all. Other topics we will be addressing in the future:
•  Is having home care becoming more and more the decision to make?
•  Where do you find a lawyer for your estate?
•  How important is it that you have a will?
•  What is the difference between day care and night care in a nursing or assisted living facility?
•  Things you should know, or questions to ask, if you are
considering moving to a nursing home.
I will be looking for people to talk with and listen about the details. The columns will not be about selling you anything, even though the writer might work for a company that does provide a service  for seniors.
The information in this magazine is not gospel. It is offered to help you make decisions. If you have a question for a social worker, nurse, about home care or any other subject, but you don’t want to talk to a company salesperson, email me. We will put your question and answer in the magazine, as other people may have the same question. Your name will not be printed, but we will need a name and phone number to verify.
We have added over ten new locations where you can find our magazine. If you would like some copies in your waiting room, please contact us.
