City of Bettendorf to hold 7th Annual ‘Tis the Season Senior Holiday Celebration’
The City of Bettendorf will be having its 7th annual ‘Tis the Season Senior Holiday Celebration’ at the Waterfront Convention Center, 2021 State Street, Bettendorf on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Doors will open at 1 p.m. with entertainment from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. This event is also co-hosted by the Isle Casino.
The event is sure to be a fun one. Seniors 60 and above are invited to enjoy holiday music, entertainment, and refreshments. Participants will also learn all the wonderful opportunities and services our city provides to our seniors. This event is free and open to all Quad Cities seniors.
Mayor Robert Gallagher will give opening remarks and City Administrator Decker Ploehn will host the event. Members of the Bettendorf City Council and city staff will be on hand to help greet and serve refreshments.
Registration begins Monday, November 16 and will continue through December 11 or until filled.
Beginning November 16, please call (563) 344-4000 to RSVP. No early registrations please.
Remember, the holidays are a prime time for scams, so be alert. Legitimate charities will ask for added help, but many scammers will try to pull at your heart strings for “causes” that are not real.
Don’t be fooled.
