Hilltop Campus Village

Another Exciting Renovation on Harrison

Exterior   In September of 2014, we ran an article about the brick house in the 10 hundred block of Harrison. This beautiful brick, two-story residence at 1028 Harrison sat abandoned. Built sometime
in the mid 1800s, it had now become a relic from a bygone era. The property had gone into foreclosure, but it had too much history and appeal to just “throw away.”
So the Wells Fargo real estate office donated it to the Hilltop Campus Village, a 501c3 not for profit. Wells Fargo has a commitment to community re-investment and neighborhood improvement. room-with-fan-long-viewThe hope was that the Hilltop Campus Village could seek out a prospective buyer and good neighbor for the property. If you would like to read the 2014 article, go to www.50PlusLife.com and put Hilltop Campus Village in the search engine. Article title, “Hilltop Campus Village – Restoration and Revitalization Project Available” September  2014 issue.

The good news!!! After many inquiries, many tours given and multiple interviews room-fireplacethe right person was found. Andrew Wold, whose construction contracting company, Alliance Contracting, LLC, committed to the renovation of the house in accordance with the specified standards laid down by the Hilltop Campus Village ad hoc project committee. The renovation has been a success. The residence will now be occupied by three tenants.

Perhaps the name, Andrew Wold, sounds familiar. He did the store-front renovation on the 1600 block of Harrison. The article about this project is, “Hilltop Campus Village Set for Exciting Renovations” May 2915 issue.

The Hilltop Campus Village thanks Andrew for his commitment to make the area a better place to live, play, shop, learn and worship.
