Celebrate December in the Historic Hilltop Campus Village

Hear the music of the season on December 9 at 7:00 p.m. It’s an Ambrosian Christmas at the Galvin Fine Arts Center, St. Ambrose campus, a musical event featuring all student ensembles and soloists. For more information, contact Terri Flynn (563) 333-6001.

There are many houses of worship in the Hilltop Campus Village, all having Christmas programs. A tradition for many is The Christmas Concert at First Presbyterian Church at 1702 Iowa Street (corner of Iowa and Kirkwood Blvd.) Complimentary tickets are required for this event on Saturday, December 17 or Sunday, December 18. Small Business Saturday may have been last month, but continue celebrating the Hilltop Campus Villages shops. This area celebrated big time this year with the help of American Express. The Hilltop Campus Village was selected as one of the communities in the state that support a diverse small business environment. Perhaps you had the chance to see Scott Tunnicliff, Director of Hilltop Campus Village, on the Paula Sands Live show. He conveyed all of the wonderful happenings for Small Business Saturday. Come celebrate in the Hilltop Campus Village and keep the momentum going.

The Hilltop Campus Village even celebrates obstacles. With Brady Street under construction, events like Small Business Saturday took on a whole new meaning, enticing people to brave the construction cones and rough edges that are a part of the Hilltop during the cities improvements. “We are finding our way through all of the pounding and paving.” said Kelly Wallace owner of the Estate Sale shop. “Our customers appreciate what the Hilltop has to offer and push through the extra effort it takes to get to us these days.”
