It’s Autumn, It’s Retrofest… in the Hilltop Campus Village

The Hilltop Plaza at 15th and Harrison will once again be the location for the Fall Retrofest of the Hilltop Campus Village. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 15 and plan to come to the festivities for a fun-filled afternoon and evening.

Admission to this Retro 1970s event is free. Drink tickets will be sold for soft drinks and beer selections. Local food vendors will be there with a wide variety of foods to tempt your taste buds.

This year’s Retrofest festival celebrates the decade of the 1970s. There will be an afternoon car show displaying classic automobiles of the era, some from years gone by and others from the future – the models from beyond the 1970s. The car show is scheduled to start at 1:30 and run through the afternoon.

Live bands of local talented youth will be playing from 3 p.m. until early evening. So come tolisten, clap along or dance on the grass. Come enjoy the high-quality talent of our youth. Rock out. Reminisce!

Young and not so young are encouraged to come out and see what the Hilltop Campus Village has to offer.

The young’uns can create their own cardboard car to sit in while they watch the movie on the big inflatable screen. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets, get comfortable and enjoy the evening. Movie time will be approximately 7:30, it must be dark enough to see the screen. Children can create a “car” at home and bring it along. These “vehicles” will be set up just like the drive-in movies reminiscent of the 1970s.
