Small businesses nationwide are again promoting Small Business Saturday as a day to really support the independent, family-owned, businesses that have been the backbone of American Commerce Heritage.

Small shops have a more intimate feel to them than the big box stores. Clerks have a more personal connection then the cashier that just checks you out. The inventory may not be as extensive as the chain stores, but you are more likely to find some really unique and one of a kind gifts. The shops in the Hilltop Campus Village welcome you to just come in and browse around. Look for those hidden treasures for those hard-to-shop-for on your list.

Gloria, from Hair, Hats and Wigs, encourages you to just come in and try on a hat or two – or even a wig. It’s fun! Superstars and Superheroes has many, many, MANY, comic books and sports cards for the collector you need to buy for. The Brewed Book might just have the hard to find paperback for a stocking stuffer.
