Ridgecrest Village proudly presents its sponsorship of the 50th Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. The flight is set for takeoff on Thursday, October 31, 2019, from the Quad Cities Municipal Airport and head to Washington D.C. Upon arrival, the veterans and guardians will be taken to different memorials where their service has been honored.

On October 31st the general public is encouraged to welcome the Veterans on the 50th honor flight back when the flight arrives at the Quad City International airport around 10pm.

Current Hub Director, Steven Garrington stated, “The Honor Flight of the Quad Cities was founded 10 years ago by Bob Morrison. Over that time, countless volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure that nearly 5,000 veterans have had the opportunity to experience the memorials that were built to honor their courage and sacrifice.”

Over the past ten years there has been numerous volunteers, and those who still continue with assistance and preparation in regards to the Honor Flight. The volunteers, along with the Ridgecrest staff, led by Cris Vetter, Executive Director, are ecstatic that this year the 50th Flight has been named ‘The Ridgecrest Village Honor Flight.’

The Honor Flight of the Quad Cities is now and has always been located at Ridgecrest Village in Davenport, Iowa. Ridgecrest Village donates office space, equipment, supplies, support and volunteers to the Honor Flight.
