  • March 1, Austria becomes a kingdom again, under Admiral Nikolaus Horthy.
  • March 1, Admiral Nikolaus Horthy was named Regent of Hungary, a position he held from the end of World War I until
    October of 1944.
  • March 3, Montreal Canadians scores NHL record 16 goals beating the Quebec Bulldogs.
  • March 8, Denmark and Cuba join the League of Nations.
  • March 11, Syria proclaims Emir Feisal king after the country has fought off French domination.
  • March 13, After the German government is forced to cut its army 10,00 men, military groups plot an unsuccessful coup – a revolt ended by a general strike.
  • March 16, 1 Acre Park, also known a Baby Park, in the Bronx is renamed Melrose Park.
  • March 19, U.S. Senate rejects Treaty of Versailles for the second time refusing to ratify League of Nations’ covenant (maintaining isolation policy).
