Quad Cities Alzheimer’s Association – Virtual support groups and programs are being offered. For assistance call (563) 293-8058 or the 24/7 helpline at (800) 272-3900.

QC Breast Cancer Support Group (Iowa and Illinois) – Meetings are cancelled at this time, but if you need someone to talk to you can call Pat Conway at (563) 355-7548

Genesis Aphasia Support Group – If you need support or someone to talk to, call Speech Therapist Rebecca Rall at (563) 421-3495

Grief Support Group sponsored by CASI – meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Currently, this group meets at 9:30 am at the Family Restaurant, 902 W. Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA. This is a FREE community service program; however participants are required to sign-up in advance by calling (563) 386-7477 ext 227 and leaving a message for Vicky Ertel. Space is limited to 6 people. Participants are responsible for their own food and beverage costs.

Lewy Body Disease Support Group is meeting via Zoom the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. For info and to get a zoom invite call Marilyn at (309) 781-6462

Museum Exhibits

Putnam Museum presents two new exhibits. Now showing through June 30, “Birds and You” explores bird species through themes of extinction and preservation. There are interactive activities. Also now showing through mid 2021, “Faces of the Past” an original Putnam exhibit that explores portraiture around the world and across time as a reflection of self-identify, popular culture, mythology, and ritual. Museum is open Wed.- Sun. 10 am – 5 pm. The museum is located at 1717 W 12th Street, Davenport, IA. For more info call (563) 336-7295 or website putnam.org.

Figge Museum is featuring two exhibits. Now through April 25, “Blakelock: By the Light of the Moon” features eight artworks by Blakelock. Also showing through May 16, “For America” featuring over ninety works made between 1810 and 2010 by some of the greatest American artists. Museum hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Thursday 10 am – 8 pm and Sunday noon – 5 pm. Closed Monday.
