Support Groups and Informational Seminars

Quad Cities Alzheimer’s Association – Virtual support groups and programs are being offered. For assistance call (563) 293-8058 or the 24/7 helpline at (800) 272-3900.

QC Breast Cancer Support Group – (Iowa and Illinois) Meetings are cancelled at this time, but if you need someone to talk to you can call Pat Conway at (563) 355-7548

Genesis Aphasia Support Group – If you need support or someone to talk to, call Speech Therapist Rebecca Rall at (563) 421-3495

Grief Support Group  – sponsored by CASI – meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Currently, this group meets at 9:30 am at the Family Restaurant, 902 W. Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA. This is a FREE community service program; however participants are required to sign-up in advance by calling (563) 386-7477 ext 227 and leaving a message for Vicky Ertel. Participants are responsible for their own food and beverage costs.

Dementia: It’s many forms Does your loved one have Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, Vascular, Frontal Lobe or another of over 100 forms of dementia? For information about the different forms of dementia, please call Marilyn at (309) 781-6462.

Museum Exhibits

Putnam Museum presents Now showing through June 30, “Birds and You” explores bird species through themes of extinction and preservation. There are interactive activities. Also now showing through mid 2021, “Faces of the Past” an original Putnam exhibit that explores portraiture around the world and across time as a reflection of self-identify, popular culture, mythology, and ritual. “The Colors of Culture” now through late 2021. An original Putnam exhibit celebrating the diverse cultures in our community featuring from the international collection including object of the world travels of the Putnam, Palmer and Figge families.Museum is open Wed.- Sun. 10 am – 5 pm. Figge Museum presents “National Academicians: Works on Paper” This exhibit features the current and past members of the National Academy of Design. Now showing through June 27. “Tom Uttech: Origin” This exhibit will feature Kisibakwad, from the Figge collection alongside a selection of photographs from a collection on loan from the Museum of Wisconsin Art. Museum hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Thursday 10 am – 8 pm and Sunday noon – 5 pm. Closed Monday. The

Bettendorf Children’s Museum has many interactive and hands on
exhibits and activities for youth of all ages. The museum is located at

Theater and Music Venues

Bucktown Revue will be live in September with more Americana music from the Heartland, featuring bluegrass, Irish folk and Americana roots music. Third Friday of the month at Nighswander Theater 2822 Eastern Ave, Davenport, IA. Performances start at 7:00 PM. Circa ‘21 presenting “Beehive” through July 10. Rated PG, this production is a fun flashback to the fabulous females who left their mark on the 1960s pop music.
