Gratitude

… this season of thanks, take the time, and if necessary, MAKE the time
to take stock of all you have to be grateful for and tell those responsible.

Gratitude:

Such an underwhelming word for what often is a very overwhelming feeling. As CASI looks to celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2023 we are filled with gratitude on so many levels.

We are grateful for this amazing Quad Cities community that has supported us for 50 years as we strived to create a community where all Quad Citizens can age well.

We are grateful for the thousands of families who have walked through our doors looking for support and for those who have entrusted us with the care of their loved ones.

We are grateful for our members who have invited us to be a part of their aging journey and show up every day, making CASI feel more like a family than a business.

We are grateful for our volunteers who donate their time and talents to keep CASI vibrant and fun all year long.

And we are grateful for our donors and funders who choose us as stewards of their hard-earned resources.

And I, as the leader of this organization, am beyond grateful for the team of people who choose to work at CASI.  The small but mighty torch bearers of our mission.  Going above and beyond every day, not for accolades or recognition or bonuses, but in pursuit of what’s best for the people we serve. I say again in this regard, gratitude is too small and inadequate a word for the overwhelming blessing that is our CASI team.

As we begin to close in on the holiday season and this season of thanks, take the time, and if necessary, MAKE the time to take stock of all you have to be grateful for and tell those responsible.  Because while the word might be small and often inadequate, the gesture and impact just might be overwhelmingly appreciated.
