Creating a Perfect New Year

New Year’s resolutions, both good and bad, signify a fresh start for positive change.. yet they also carry the burden of heightened expectations. Anticipation may rise for the upcoming year to be a transformative chapter, most people feeling it as “their year.” Despite the presence of the new year, the new year actually remains indifferent. Simply put, it doesn’t care if your year is good or bad. The thing that must change isn’t in the new year. It’s you that needs to change in the new year.

Approaching the new year demands cultivating a mindset appreciating the present and anticipating the future. As you read this article, I feel gratitude for the opportunity to share this information, while also holding aspirations beyond this as well. This nuanced approach is vital for addressing health, physique, and life success, preventing burnout and disillusionment.

If you do burn out, my favorite phrase is: “it never happened.” Acknowledging that most of our memories are slowly deconstructed over time to fit a narrative that suits our bias is useful.. Because then you REALLY remember.. It probably didn’t happen (at least the way you thought.)

If you were diagnosed with a disease that was scary, you could have been up in arms, with a doctor that doesn’t care about your feelings, and the world that is broken. Is that really the case? Or were you not as careful with your health as you could be? If it is the second option, remember it’s OKAY. Refer to the above paragraph, and remind yourself that “I have always been healthy and can’t wait to be healthier.”
