QC Breast Cancer Support Group Meeting in Illinois is the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 11:30 am – 1 pm at the Butterworth Center, 1105 8th Street, Moline, Illinois.

Grief Support Group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 9:30am at the Family Restaurant, 902 W. Kimberly Rd, Davenport. This is a FREE community service for anyone who has suffered a loss. Participants are responsible for their food and beverage costs. Group is moderated by Vicky Ertel.

Suicide Support Group – National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)of the Greater Mississippi Valley. The Suicide Bereavement Group is a support group for people who have survived the loss of a loved one to suicide and have found help by turning to others who have been through a similar experience. Museum Exhibits
Bettendorf Children’s Museum has many interactive and hands-on exhibits and activities for youth of all ages. Exhibits include: Fox Hollow, George’s Farm, Lil ‘Ssippi River Valley, Playhouse, Outdoor Play Area, “Lucky Climber presented by Genesis Birth Center” and “Imagination Studio” And Russell Dig Zone! Besides exhibitions and interactive experiences the museum offers many classes. They include a STEM project class, inventor’s club, Spanish for kids and creative dance classes. Davenport School Museum housed in the JBYoung Opportunity Center, 1702 N. Main Street, Davenport, is the museum for the Davenport school system. It holds many pieces of memorabilia of Davenport schools. Hours are limited: Monday 9 AM – 11 AM, Thursday 10 AM – 2 PM and Friday 10 AM – 2 PM.

Mississippi Spoon Museum located at 902 E River Dr, Davenport, IA. Check out a world class collection of spoons as they tell of historical events, social movements and much more. Putnam Museum and Science Center – Putnam Museum and Science Center – The Putnam, located at 1717 W. 12th Street, Davenport, Iowa. Their many exhibits include: “Common Ground, Our Voice, Our Stories,” “Quad City Innovators,” “Black Earth Big River,” “Unearthing Ancient Egypt,” “Hall of Mammals” and “Fossils and Minerals.” Ages 60+ get a discount. German American Heritage Center located at 712 W Second Street, Davenport. The museum is a Victorian architecture style building that chronicles and preserves the history of German-Americans in the Midwest region. Hours are Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday noon to 4:00 PM. closed Mondays.
Theater and Music Venues
Circa ’21 presents Come From Away, now through November 1. This is about the small town in Gander, Newfoundland that welcomed nearly 7,000 travelers that were rerouted and stranded on September 11, 2001. Show times – Wednesday matinee 11:45 lunch, 1:15 show. Evening, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 5:45 dinner, 7:30 show and Sunday 3:45 dinner, 5:30 show. Next presentation is White Christmas, November 5 through December 28, 2025. Bucktown Revue returns this fall at a new home. New Bucktown home is Rock Island Library Watts-Midtown Branch Theater, 2715 30th St, Rock Island. Two hours of happiness and rated E for everybody, this is an Americana Musical revue with local and guest artists. The third Friday of every month, September – May, 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
