Home for the holidays……such a wonderful and warm thought. But what exactly is home? Maybe it’s a first apartment, a large family home where children were raised and holidays celebrated, a downsize for empty nesters or it may be a retirement community.

Senior living is a different home. It may not be the same as the home where your kids were raised and memories made, but it is a new home and a new chapter for many seniors. A chapter of less fuss and more time and experiences to enjoy the Holiday season without all the work.

Park Vista Retirement Living provides many holiday celebrations and events for residents and their families. There are lots of decorations and holiday themed activities throughout the entire season. Whether a senior is in an independent apartment, a freestanding villa, assisted living or a memory care apartment this is their home and although we can never recreate their family home, we make this home filled with holiday spirit and fun. They can decorate their private apartment however they would like and have family visits anytime they want. We try to recreate some of those family memories with special meals, music and trips to “Festival of Trees”, Circa 21 and rides to see Christmas lights. There will be plenty of carolers and fun arts and crafts. Our residents enjoy weekly Happy Hours with live music and plenty of opportunities to socialize during the holidays as well as all year long.

Park Vista North Hill will be hosting a Christmas Extravaganza with food, live music and an assortment of vendors offering stocking stuffers and gift items for purchase on December 12th from 1pm-4pm in the main building and pub.

This is open to the public and is a great opportunity to come and do some Christmas shopping for yourself and create new memories with your loved one without leaving the community.

Park Vista Camanche will be having 12 Days of Cozy and Care. Each year our residents enjoy a special “12 Days of Christmas” tradition receiving small gifts tucked into stockings hung on their doors blending comfort, joy and a few practical treats to make the season extra bright. Please reach out if you would like to donate items to this fun and meaningful tradition.

As we look towards the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, we are offering a year end special for both the Camanche and North Hill properties. For anyone who takes possession of an Assisted Living or Memory Care apartment by December 31st we will take $2,026 off their first 2 months basic rent. In addition to the discount, new residents will have their base rent locked in until 2027!
