Friends of CASI Annual Campaign

For the Center for Active Seniors, Inc. (CASI) our “Friend-ships” are the vessels through which we carry forth our mission of providing services that promote independence and enrich the lives of older adults through socialization, health/wellness and supportive services.

Since 1973, CASI has led the Quad Cities community efforts in serving the needs of older adults. Today, we face our greatest challenge. In 2012 the first wave of the “Baby Boomer” generation turned 65. By 2025, the number of seniors living in Scott County will have doubled; with one in four residents being over the age of 65. Demand for services provided by CASI will continue to increase by 6% each year. With highly trained and qualified staff and over 40,000 square feet of space, CASI is prepared to meet this demand.

In Fiscal Year 2018, CASI’s “friend-ship” helped us deliver the following services:

• Over 1,500 Scott County seniors were served through our Senior Advocacy program, which is free of charge to all seniors.
• Over 100 seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias were served through our Jane’s Place Adult Day Program.
• Over 8,000 activities were provided at the Center for Active Seniors, Inc.
• Over 530 volunteers offered close to 40,000 hours of their time, which is an estimated value of $812,000.
