A Pause for Poetry

Poem Home
You are lost and without shelter,
Life has gone very helter-skelter!
People avoid you like COVID19,
This is the worst you’ve ever seen!
You’ve roamed a very long time,
You desperately need this rhyme.
It carries your family’s voices,
Come home! So everyone rejoices!

My Christmas Wish
I am an elder who wishes a gift,
And today I am making jolly shift,
To make my needful plea to thee,
For something nice under the tree.
It is the high season for giving now,
The gift I wish will come somehow.
Please think of the children in the world,
Into desperate dire straits hard hurled.
Leave something under the tree for them,
Kids we must not let the world condemn!
