6th Annual Music Festival Not Detoured by Road Construction
Hilltop Campus Village held its annual Fall Music Festival in September. It continues to grow annually, this past one being the best to date.It would not have been possible without its great supporters: Ascentra Credit Union; Harrison Lofts; City of Davenport; St. Ambrose University; Palmer College of Chiropractic; Hilltop Business Association; and many volunteers of the Hilltop Campus Village committees.
The weather was fantastic. The food vendors offered various tidbits to tickle your taste buds. The aroma of outdoor cooking penetrated the air.
The music was sensational – a little something for everyone. Certainly a multi-generational event!
Harrison Lofts provided a Photo Booth that was enjoyed by many.
Don’t Let the Roadblock Block Your Visit to the Hilltop Campus Village
`There may be construction as Harrison Street is under repair from 12th street south to 3rd but the access to the businesses in the Hilltop Campus Village are free and clear of any barriers. They remain open during their normal business hours.
Seeing the many road signs starting on 53rd and Welcome Way then continuing on Harrison, compounded with the news coverage of the closures may have you thinking it’s hard to get around. But just the opposite. The ride down Brady St. is a sight not seen in decades and the traffic flows smoothly within the new lanes of two-way status. The city has done a great job in marking the closures and directing the flow of traffic. So make your normal runs to the shops, businesses and merchants. From Greatest Grains to Brady Street Furniture, Gloria’s Hat’s and Wigs to Rocket Resale, Eastside Bakery to Redband Coffee – all the Hilltop business are
here to serve. Come shop the historic Hilltop Campus Village.
