NEW GROUP: Memory Minders Support Group: The group is open to anyone with early on-set Alzheimer’s or in the early stages and will include special accommodations for those caring for someone in one of these two groups. AARP Driving Safety 12:30-4:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday,July 8. AARP and Trinity offer this eight-hour driving course that may entitle participants to a 10 percent premium reduction on their auto insurance. Plan to attend both sessions. Fee: $12 for AARP members; $14 for non-members.

Holistic Bodywork: Stott Pilates Method, Intermediate level 5:30-6:30 p.m., Mondays, July 6 to Aug. 10 ($48/six weeks); Introductory level 6:30-7:30 p.m., Mondays, July 6 to Aug. 10 ($42/six weeks). Whether you’re 18 or 80, you can use Pilates for general fitness or as cross training with other sports, dance and exercise regimes to greatly improve your performance. The rhythmic exercises will promote a strong and flexible body core. An exercise mat is required for class.

Davenport Library Book Club: If you’re looking for a literary discussion group, but don’t feel like reading a whole book each month, then join Davenport Public Library’s “Short & Sweets” group. American Cancer Society Relay for Life Friday, July 31, through Saturday, Aug.1, Black Hawk College track, 6600 34th Ave., Moline. This year marks the beginning of the celebration of 25 years of Relay for Life. The Rock Island County Relay for Life is a 12- hour overnight event to raise money for cancer research and support. Team members take turns walking around the track to honor those who have survived cancer, to remember those who have lost their battle with cancer and for the hope to one day find a cure.
