NEW GROUP: Memory Minders Support Group: The group is open to anyone with early on-set Alzheimer’s or in the early stages and will include special accommodations for those caring for someone in one of these two groups. American Cancer Society Relay for Life Friday, July 31, through Saturday, Aug.1, Black Hawk College track, 6600 34th Ave., Moline. This year marks the beginning of the celebration of 25 years of Relay for Life. The Rock Island County Relay for Life is a 12- hour overnight event to raise money for cancer research and support. Team members take turns walking around the track to honor those who have survived cancer, to remember those who have lost their battle with cancer and for the hope to one day find a cure.
