CASI Honored as a Nationally Accredited Senior Center

CASI-Fitness-CenterBy Jamie Lange

Center for Acrive Seniors, Inc.

CASI’s (Center for Active Seniors, Inc.) commitment to creating a world where seniors can age successfully was  honored recently when CASI became only the SECOND nationally accredited Senior Center in the state of Iowa and just one of 200 in the country!

For more than 40 years, CASI has created a world of opportunity and vitality for area seniors in a place that promotes independence and enriches lives through socialization, health, wellness and supportive services.

While you don’t have to be a member to enjoy CASI’s program and activities, membership has many benefits including:

  • Discount on classes. Non-member fees will be increasing July 1st.
  • Fitness Center membership (additional fee applies) now includes low impact exercise (a savings of up to $10
    a week!)

Membership at CASI helps contribute to the lifelong learning process of keeping your mind and body engaged by actively pursuing knowledge and experience. Each year,
different events are offered to keep older Quad City adults active, socially engaged and independent life-long learners.

And for only $2.50 per month—just $30 a year—it’s nearly impossible to find this much value, for so little money.

You connect with more than 1,300 older Quad City adults who also know that CASI is a priceless investment in your mind, spirit and body.

So, how do you join CASI? It’s easy!

  1. Fill out the membership form available at CASIseniors.org or stop in to the front desk.
  2. Mail a check (payable to CASI) to: CASI, 1035 W Kimberly Road, Davenport, IA 52806
  3. Stop in to the CASI Front Desk during normal business hours to get your key card, or if you are a returning member, get your card punched.

Don’t miss out any of the great activities, luncheons, events and more at CASI—renew your membership today. Thank you for choosing CASI and we look forward to seeing you at the Center soon.

For just $30 a year you:

  • Enjoy cards and games such as Billiards, Canasta, Euchre and more.
  • Stay fit and healthy walking CASI’s Main Street or in low impact exercise class.
  • Find group support for Caregivers, Grief, Low Vision, Parkinson’s and more.
  • Socialize at luncheons, parties and many more member-only events.

Please join us at CASI – whether you’re dropping in for a class or joining us on a more permanent basis, there is something for you. Stop in for a tour daily Monday through Friday in June or use our special activity coupon on page 19 of this issue to try us out.
