Fall brings beautiful colors, cooler temperatures, football, hockey and pumpkin spice everything! A unique time of year that’s gone way too fast for many of us. Bix Bistro (located inside Hotel Blackhawk) is offering more choices with our new fall menu rolled out a few weeks ago.
Homemade Gnocchi like Chef’s grandma used to make with potato dumpling, acorn squash, manchego cheese, candied walnuts and Moroccan butter sauce for $17.50 is a great deal for priceless nostalgia. Shrimp Zucca Tucca featuring Spaghetti squash with grilled shrimp, garlic, bell pepper and grape tomatoes tossed in a light hazelnut pesto is sure to be a crowd favorite at only $17.00. With affordable menu options from $7 – $32 you don’t have to wait for a special occasion.
If you’re looking for simple sharable items and feel good snacks, we have beer battered onion rings and spicy cheddar tots to go with our sandwiches and burgers now available in the dining room. Or if you want healthier sides, we also have steamed rice and vegetables.
I personally love the Soba Bowl comprised of Soba noodles, market vegetables and a sweet chili ginger sauce with chicken or shrimp as an add on. Shrimp is my favorite.
Fall also brings the start of holiday season – we offer private and semi-private rooms to accommodate from 10-42 of your closest friends and family. Love to eat but not to cook? This year, feast without the fuss – join us for a savory Thanksgiving feast featuring our Chef’s favorite traditional dishes! With seating’s available at noon, 2pm and 4pm we have the perfect time for your celebration. Adults $29.95, children 8-12 $14.95 and 7 & under are FREE.
